„A great teacher is a great artist and that there as few as there are any other great artists. Teaching might even be greatest of arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit”

About us
While we have been around for twelve years, we have trained and taught hundreds of employees from some of the most respected companies in the United Kingdom.
The Oxfordians Language Studio has always provided a more dynamic, hands-on approach to teaching. We have developed our own tutoring method, with a stronger emphasis on role-playing and interaction between learners.
Whether working in housekeeping, a busy kitchen, or dealing with customers, it is integral to have clear and confident communication with guests and work colleges. A lack of clarity and conviction when speaking another language can have far more implications than a breakdown in communication.
At The Oxfordians, we believe having confidence in another language will set you apart from everyone else. We believe in thinking and learning differently. We believe teachers should be passionate and enthusiastic. We believe learning should be fun and engaging. We believe by understanding and using language appropriately we can effectively communicate in authentic social and work environments. We believe in providing opportunities for learning that go beyond repetition and memorisation of grammatical patterns in isolation.
The skills and knowledge we have learned has helped time and again gain customers all over the world wanting to improve their English. As multi-language speakers ourselves, we understand the challenges facing those looking to communicate more effectively in a non-native language. It is a great privilege for us at The Oxfordians to pass on our knowledge to help improve others.
The priority of The Oxfordians ethos is to provide an unhurried and creative learning environment where you can find the joy in learning and experience the richness of another language. The core subjects of the curriculum are taught in thematic blocks and all lessons include a balance of practical and theoretical content.
English for Hospitality
After 2016 with the decreasing number of foreign workforces in the hospitality industry, providing English classes to your employees not only makes your hotel a more welcoming and safer place but also makes it a far more attractive workplace to stay and build a lasting relationship with the employer.

Our offer
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Put together by the Council of Europe, the CEFR defines the various progress levels and achievements in language learning, now widely used as an international system of validation of language ability.
The Oxfordians Language Studio designs our courses and syllabus according to the learning outcomes defined by the CEFR.
Our courses help develop all four skills of the English Language: reading, writing, listening and speaking, with a focus on improving clear and effective communication. This starts with a pre-course assessment test and a placement in a class of the correct level.
